Partial tuition fee waiver

Partial tuition fee waiver is offered for all students of bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, integrated or professional (pedagogical) study programmes who are starting their studies to the first year first semester in a non-state-funded study place in the academic year 2021/2022 if they meet the criteria established by the University. A partial tuition fee waiver is granted during the first 15 days of the study semester, after assessing the student’s compliance with the established criteria. A partial tuition fee waiver is granted for the entire study period of the student, periodically reviewing the student’s compliance with the established criteria.

 

How is the final tuition fee recalculated after receiving a partial fee waiver?

The amount of partial tuition fee waiver depends on the branch of study chosen (indicated in the description of study programme); the tuition fee set by the University is proportionally reduced according to the partial tuition fee waiver amount.

1 The tuition fee set out by Decree No. V3-S-13 of the University’s Senate “On Approval of the Amounts of the Tuition Fees of the First and Second Cycle, Integrated studies and Other Payments” of 24 March 2021.

2 The tuition fee is applied to the persons who: a) are not the citizens or family members of the citizens of the Republic of Lithuania or the European Union Member States or the European Free Trade Association Member States; b) are not foreigners of Lithuanian descent; c) do not have a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania.

 

Criteria for granting a partial fee waiver

A partial tuition fee waiver is granted for the entire study period according to the following criteria:

In the first study year, if:

In the second and subsequent study years – according to the student’s study results of one academic year, if:

  • student status in the AIS is active
  • the student has no academic debts
  • the student’s academic achievement excellent or on a typical level (see below)

The total average of a bachelor and integrated study student must be no less than 6.5. The total average of a master’s study student must be no less than 7.

The student must have met all the requirements for the study programme during the assessment period, and the student has no financial debts to the University, no academic or disciplinary penalties.

 

For what period is the partial fee waiver granted?

A partial tuition fee waiver is granted for the entire study period of the student, periodically reviewing the student’s compliance with the established criteria. The student’s eligibility for a partial tuition fee waiver is reviewed after each semester of study, until the 15th day of the new semester (or until the end of the second month of the new semester).
