Double degree programme with Miguel Hernandez University of Elche, Spain

Electrical and electronic engineering is one of the widest research fields. There are no sectors in industry or science which could develop without innovative electronic solutions. Investigations during doctoral studies are carried out in the fields, such as ultrasonic measurements and diagnostics in aviation, energy generation and supply systems, and other industrial sectors, applications of electronic solutions in biomedicine, monitoring and control systems for various economic and transportation facilities, including signal processing and imaging. Investigations are conducted using modern research tools and instruments in the ‘Santaka’ scientific valley. Doctoral studies of this field provide a possibility to carry out part of experiments in the research institutions of the United Kingdom and Spain.
The objective of the work of PhD students is to propose and investigate innovative solutions for the above-listed sectors of industry and science.

Minimum requirements

Persons with a Master’s Degree or equivalent degree of higher education may participate in an open competition for admission to doctoral studies.

Applicants to the doctoral program in the field of science are accepted by competition according to the competition score. Minimum Competition Score 7

 

Application procedure

Application and the following documents are submitted online at apply.ktu.edu

  • Official legalised Bachelor’s and Master’s diplomas or a higher education degree equivalents and academic transcripts (translated into English or Lithuanian and notary verified)
  • A copy of the passport page containing personal data, or ID card
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Recommendations by two academic referees or researchers from the relevant field of science
  • List of scientific publications (also accepted publications)
  • Copies of scientific publications (or a research paper on the topic (-s) consistent with the dissertation topic (-s) indicated in the candidate’s application, if a candidate does not have any publication)
  • Research proposal on the selected topic from the list of available topics
  • Copy of application fee payment (40 EUR for EU citizens, and 100 EUR for non-EU citizens)
  • Certificate of English proficiency: IELTS >=6.5, TOEFL>=90, ECFR>=C1, or equivalent (or a proof that the previous studies were in English)
  • Consent for the processing of the candidate’s personal data at the University
