The combination of electronic music composition, performance and new media technologies encourages experimentation and the creation of a unique artistic style. The knowledge I have gained has been crucial for my career, allowing me to express myself in various fields such as computer games, short films and radio stations. What I liked most is that the exams here are not traditional – instead of the usual texts, they turn into concerts where we present our own works.
I returned to studying after a break of almost 20 years. Most of that time was spent working with music and the technologies and processes involved. It is a very active and constantly evolving field, so the need to improve my professional knowledge and skills is constant. Since graduating, my newly acquired competencies have significantly broadened my creative and professional activities.
This programme has a Lithuanian-only curriculum and all the learning and assessment processes are carried out in the Lithuanian language.
The timetable is adjusted according to the availability of applicants, but usually takes place on weekdays in the first half of the week.
The KTU study programme Composition and Performance of Electronic Music is unique because of the opportunity for students to work with professional equipment, create innovative compositions, gain practical experience, participate in international exchange programmes and collaborate with other artists.
