Joint PhD studies with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.
PhD in Informatics Engineering combines knowledge of computer systems, software development and the development of technological solutions. It is designed for those who want to develop and analyse advanced computing systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, cybersecurity and autonomous systems. Doctoral students work on real-world problems, developing innovative technologies to automate and robotize industry, exploiting the potential of artificial intelligence.
Doctoral studies address current problems in computing and information processing using advanced technologies and methods. KTU’s Informatics Engineering programme promotes close cooperation with business and industry in order to put research into practice. This provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of modern technologies and to shape future digital solutions.

Persons with a Master’s qualification degree in the fields of Physics, Mathematics or Informatics in the study fields of Technologies or Natural Sciences may participate in an open competition for admission to doctoral studies. |
Applicants to the doctoral field of science are accepted by competition according to the competition score. Minimum Competition Score 7 Additional conditions: 2. An applicant is required to have at least one scientific publication published or admitted for publication, and a copy of the publication(s) has to be submitted 3. An applicant must submit a research proposal on the selected topic |

The applicants must have at least one scientific publication published or admitted for publication and submit its copy; otherwise, the application is not considered.
