The MSc in Business Big Data Analytics enhanced my competencies in exploratory data analysis and modelling. During my project work, we analysed large-scale business data and drew conclusions to support managerial decision-making. I particularly enjoyed the projects, as they allowed me to apply almost everything we learned in theory to real-world scenarios.
The master’s studies allowed me to change my career direction, as for my bachelor’s I studied BSc in Materials Physics and Nanotechnologies, and after my master’s I became a matematitian. Studying at KTU gives you more experience and exposure to real business challenges. Lectures were held in the evenings, so it was not difficult to fit them in my schedule.
The demand for data science and machine learning professionals in business is extremely high, as companies have been collecting data for years but still struggle to extract its full monetary value. A master’s degree provides in-depth theoretical knowledge, enabling professionals to solve complex problems and advance in the job market. KTU has strong partnerships with the business sector, giving students valuable first-hand experience and practical skills.
