The understanding of companies, banks, investing and risk that I have gained from my studies helps me to feel more confident in my life, no matter what career path I choose. Having loved mathematics from an early age, the idea of working in finance never seemed far away. I chose KTU because I was interested in the Bloomberg Lab.
I chose to study at KTU because I knew that the university had the largest Bloomberg Lab in the Baltics. In my second year, together with a fellow student, we built a prototype model of a device that would allow us to treat autoimmune skin diseases at home. After presenting the device in a lecture, we won a trip to the USA and represented KTU in a competition in Silicon Valley, where we won 3rd place.
KTU is one of the strongest universities with an innovative approach to curricula and technology. Graduates of the Bchelor’s in Finance have a wide range of skills and knowledge that allow them to work successfully in auditing, tax consultancy, accounting and financial management, and other fields. Today, there is a great demand for finance professionals, as the international market and the ever-changing business environment create the conditions for the creation of new jobs.
This programme is delivered entirely in Lithuanian, with all lectures, seminars, coursework and assessments conducted in this language.
Financial analysts analyse financial data, assess company performance, prepare budgets and financial forecasts, and make recommendations for investment and decision-making. Their aim is to help organisations manage their finances effectively and make informed strategic decisions.
Yes, there is a growing demand for finance professionals in the labour market. According to the World Economic Forum, the demand for finance professionals is growing at around 5-7% per year, and the FinTech sector is expected to grow by as much as 20% per year until 2030. This means that the rapidly growing demand for financial management offers not only stable job opportunities but also a strong career path.
The skills you develop during your studies to analyse financial market processes, anticipate business growth and investment opportunities, and identify problems will help you succeed in the FinTech sector or build a business.
