Are you interested in creating real products and services while studying? It is now possible to test yourself by getting involved in a product development project (PDP). During the project, you will work in teams, collaborating with KTU researchers and social partners. While solving current, relevant problems you will improve your teamwork, project management, and problem-solving skills, deepen professional knowledge and expand your career opportunities.

As a financial analyst you will analyse and explain various financial and market data. Based off of the analysis, you will be able to provide business recommendations for companies or organisations for them to make the right decisions. You will also hold a long-term financial plan on budgeting and how to control it most effectively.
These professionals are responsible for any financial activities of a company or organisation they work with or represent. They conduct analysis, and present the financial information to company managers, shareholders, supervisory authorities, or consumers. They formulate and implement investment policies, take care of the company’s financial resources, communicate with banks and other financial institutions, as well as buyers and suppliers.
These specialist take care of the overall management of financing or investment projects – how they are planned, organised, implemented and coordinated.
They take care of how to represent the financial situation of the company. They identify, classify, systemise, and record economic operations and events. Furthermore, they prepare financial, tax, and statistical reports.
These are specialists who perform business process analysis and audit of accounting data. They verify the accuracy of the results and financial position of companies or organisations in the financial statements.
These consultants help their clients to set clear financial goals and develop a strategy to achieve them. One of the most important tasks of investment consultants is to analyse the investment environment, create plans, and adjust them to the current market changes. Financial consultants – provide suggestions and recommendations on how to manage particular finance flows.
Graduates of the KTU Undergraduate Finance Program have the necessary competencies for financial professionals to study processes at the macro- and micro-levels and their impact on the financial performance of organizations, to analyze and interpret information relevant to financial activities. In addition to these analytical competencies, graduates of this program have skills that are critical to coordinate the financial needs of business owners, consumers, partners, and employees increasing the value created by organizations, e.g., the ability to plan financial decisions in various organizations, to justify them, and to model the financial results of these decisions.
I chose finance studies because this study program develops analytical thinking, the ability to constantly respond to changes and see future trends. During the bachelor's studies, students have acquired the ability to analyse the ongoing processes and changes and make related decisions, to perform budget planning. Knowledge of financial markets has allowed me to work for a promising companies. I can name the year of study as one of the most memorable of my life. The positive impression was left by the teachers, whose competence was never in doubt and with whom they can always communicate without any barriers. Additionally, during the entire study process, an effort is made to teach understanding and the ability to make appropriate decisions that will be necessary and reasoned in the future, rather than memorization. Although there are no limits to perfection, I would definitely recommend this degree program to anyone who has at least some connection to their future with finance, economics, or business.
